    In the following question, one or two equation(s) is/are given. On their basis you have to determine the relation between x and y and then give answer  I . x2– 5x + 6 = 0   II. Y2+ y – 6 = 0

    ক)
    x < y
    খ)
    x > y
    গ)
    x ≤ y
    ঘ)
    x ≥ y
    ঙ)
    x = y

    Explanation

    We will separately solve both equations. Equation 1: x 2 - 5x + 6 = 0 ⇒ x 2 - 2x - 3x + 6 = 0 ⇒ x (x - 2) -3 (x - 2) = 0 ⇒ (x - 2) × (x - 3) = 0 ⇒ x = 2 or, x = 3 Equation 2: y 2 + y - 6 = 0 ⇒ y 2 + 3y - 2y - 6 = 0 ⇒ y (y + 3) - 2 (y + 3) = 0 ⇒ (y + 3) × (y - 2) = 0 ⇒ y = 2 or, y = -3 x & y both have one common value. That is 2. So we can say x = y Another value of y (y = -3) is less than another value of x (x = 3) So we can say y < x Combining both x ≥ y
