    Solution: প্রশ্নটিতে বলা হচ্ছে যে, একটি সংখ্যাকে তার বিপরীত সংখ্যার সাথে যোগ করলে যোগফল 34 এর 1/8 অংশ হয় । তাহলে ঐ সংখ্যার সাথে তার বর্গমূলের গুণফল কত হবে ? ধরি, সংখ্যাটি x প্রশ্নমতে, x+1x=348x + \frac{1}{x} = \frac{{34}}{8}                 [ যেহেতু x এর বিপরীত হলো 1/x ] => x2  +1x=348\frac{{{x^{2\;}} + 1}}{x} = \frac{{34}}{8} => x2  +1x=174\frac{{{x^{2\;}} + 1}}{x} = \frac{{17}}{4} => 4x 2 + 4 = 17x => 4x 2 - 17x + 4 = 0 => 4x 2 - 16x - x + 4 = 0 => 4x (x - 4) - 1 (x - 4) = 0 => (x - 4) ( 4x - 1) = 0 অর্থাৎ (x - 4) = 0       আবার, (4x - 1) = 0 => x = 4                   => x = 1/4 অতএব, সংখ্যাটির সাথে তার বর্গমূলের গুণফল হবে = 4 ×4 \times \sqrt 4   = 4 × \times 2 = 8.
