Since the rate is twice the time, ∴ Rate of interest = 2 × t = 2t% We know that, Simple Interest = (P × R × T)/100 Where, P = principal Amount, R = % Rate of interest, T = time period in years Here, P = a; R = 2t; T = t; SI = a/2 ⇒ 2t2 = 50 ⇒ t2 = 25 ⇒ t = 5 ∴ Time = t = 5 years ⇒ Rate of interest = 2t = 2 × 5 = 10 %Related questions
