- কোন বিশেষ event বোঝালে তার আগে on হয়। যেই ঘটনা প্রতি বছরই হয় তার আগে on বসে। - তবে যদি একবার হয় বা আগে হয়নি সেক্ষেত্রে কখনো কখনো in বসে । - আর over আর across প্রায় একরকম অর্থ বোঝালেও কিছুটা ভিন্নতা রয়েছে এদের মধ্যে। যদি একপাশ থেকে আরেকপাশ বোঝায় তাহলে across হয়। আর cross করা বা এক side থেকে আরেক side না হলে over ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন- Robinson drove on the bridge across the river. এখানে river cross করা বোঝাচ্ছে। অর্থাৎ একপাশ থেকে আরেকপাশে যাওয়া বোঝাচ্ছে। আবার A bridge has been built over the river. এখানে বোঝাচ্ছে যে নদীর উপর একটি সেতু তৈরি করা হয়েছে। তাই এখানে all over the country হবে।Related questions
