Noun Clause: মনে রাখবেন, কোন একটি Sentence এ Noun যে কাজ করে Noun Phrase এবং Noun Clause ও সেই একই কাজই করে। তাদের মধ্যে শুধুমাত্র চেহারাগত পার্থক্য বিদ্যমান; আচরণগত পার্থক্য নেই বললেই চলে। Noun Clause কি? কোন একটি Subordinate Clause যখন Sentence এ একটি Noun এর কাজ করে তখন তাকে Noun Clause বলে। Noun Clause as Object of a Verb Noun clause কোন একটি transitive verb এর object হিসেবে বসতে পারে। নিচের example টি খেয়াল করুনঃ The man told us where he lived. এখানে told এর পরে us হল indirect object এবং where he lived হল direct object । এখানে where হল clause marker, he হল subject এবং lived হল verb; এবং এই পুরো clause টিই এই sentence এ object এর কাজ করে এবং আমরা এ ও জানি যে sentence এর object হিসেবে Noun (অথবা Noun এর equivalent কোন কিছু বসে। সুতরাং এটি ও একটি Noun Clause। Similar examples: Janet noticed that the window was broken.
