(\frac{2}{5} + \frac{3}{{10}} + \frac{1}{8}) = \frac{7}{{40}}

Let the monthly salary be Tk. x Then, 7/40 of x = 1400 x =

(1400 \times \frac{{40}}{7})

= 8600 so, Expenditure on conveyance = Tk.

(\frac{1}{8} \times 8000)

= Tk. 1000
